Softball Preview: Harrison Raiders vs. Tri-County Cavaliers        
        
		
            The Harrison Raiders will square off against the Tri-County Cavaliers at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
On Thursday, Harrison was able to grind out a solid  victory over Kokomo, taking the game  7-3.
 Lilly Kiefer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on two hits and racked up nine Ks.
 At the plate,  Anna Hainje was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Mallory Duell, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Harrison  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kokomo struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, Tri-County  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) last Thursday. They put the hurt on Twin Lakes with a sharp  10-2 win.
 Grace Luck made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Luck was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Bella Dominguez, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and three  RBI.  Reese Johnson was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Harrison took their  victory against Tri-County  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  14-2 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success,  or do  the Cavaliers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
