The Eastern Randolph Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Providence Grove Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern Randolph knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 games -- so hopefully Providence Grove likes a good challenge.
Providence Grove better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Eastern Randolph really get things going. Eastern Randolph took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 91-51 win over Trinity. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Eastern Randolph had a senior duo take command as Timothy Brower went 12-for-27 to rack up 30 points in addition to six assists and six steals and Julian Brooks went 10-for-17 on his way to 23 points and eight rebounds. Brower's evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Cade McCallum was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.
Eastern Randolph smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Providence Grove didn't have too much trouble with Wheatmore on Tuesday as they won 71-54. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Eastern Randolph better focus on containing Will Dabbs and Andrew Thomas as the pair were huge in Providence Grove's win. Dabbs posted 21 points along with seven assists and seven boards, while Thomas went 7-for-16 en route to 19 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Dabbs a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Brady Collins, who put up 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.
Eastern Randolph is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28 points. As for Providence Grove, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's contest: Eastern Randolph has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 8.5 three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Providence Grove, though, as they've been averaging only 4 threes. Given Eastern Randolph's sizable advantage in that area, Providence Grove will need to find a way to close that gap.
Everything came up roses for Eastern Randolph against Providence Grove in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the squad secured an 83-32 victory. In that game, Eastern Randolph amassed a halftime lead of 60-20, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
