Soccer Game Preview: Brooks vs. Wilson

The Brooks Lions will square off against the Wilson Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Brooks has given up an average of 4.9 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Brooks is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Mars Hill Bible on Thursday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for Brooks in their meetings with Mars Hill Bible: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilson). They blew past Haleyville 8-1 on Thursday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

Wilson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those five contests. As for Brooks, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Brooks skirted past Wilson 1-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
