Volleyball Recap: Ralston Valley Find Success

It's playoff time, and Ralston Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Niwot Cougars on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ralston Valley had a senior duo take command as Taylor Harteker had 20 assists and seven digs and Courtney Miller had 11 digs and two aces. Harteker is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 20 games she's played. Kenzie Brown also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Ralston Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 11 consecutive matches.

Ralston Valley's victory bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Niwot, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-8.

Ralston Valley has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Chaparral on the 14th. Niwot does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
