Basketball Recap: San Gabriel Mission Comes Up Short

San Gabriel Mission was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Genevieve Valiants. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

San Gabriel Mission's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for St. Genevieve, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

San Gabriel Mission and St. Monica Academy will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for St. Genevieve, they are taking a road trip to challenge Paraclete at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
