Antonian Prep came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the TMI-Episcopal Panthers a 19-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Apaches, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Analisa Guerrero made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Khloe Villanueva was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Isabella Garza, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Antonian Prep pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for TMI-Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Antonian Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-4 victory against Hebbronville on the 22nd. As for TMI-Episcopal, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-5 defeat against Incarnate Word on the 25th.
