Basketball Game Preview: Highland Scots vs. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears

The Highland Scots will head out on the road to face off against the Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Thursday, Highland lost to Independence at home by a 53-34 margin. While losing is never fun, the Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 899th, while the Falcons are ranked 397th).

Meanwhile, Summit Charter Collegiate Academy won against Farmersville on Monday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy blew past Wonderful College Prep Academy 65-40. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Summit Charter Collegiate Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Highland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
