Baseball Game Preview: Wagoner Bulldogs vs. Grove Ridgerunners

The Wagoner Bulldogs will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Grove Ridgerunners at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Wagoner made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Grove, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Wagoner was the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over Grove on Monday.

Kolby Gardenhire spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, Kale Charboneau was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Stavery James, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Grove's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Wagoner, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
