Recap: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. Western Reserve Blue Devils
The Mineral Ridge Rams were the 54-52 winner over the Western Reserve Blue Devils when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Mineral Ridge fell to Western Reserve 49-43. Mineral Ridge's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it four in a row.
Mineral Ridge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jonathan Rozzi, who scored 19 points, and Chase Moore who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rozzi has scored all season.
Mineral Ridge has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Western Reserve, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-8.
Mineral Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson-Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson-Milton is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Western Reserve, they will head out on the road to take on Lowellville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lowellville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Western Reserve likes a good challenge.
