Baseball Recap: Shades Valley's Losing Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Shades Valley came into Saturday's match having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 15-11 win over the North Sand Mountain Bison on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Mounties: when they faced off against the Bison on Saturday, they had to take a 20-4 loss.

Zayne Holtzapfel was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Holtzapfel was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bryant Stewart, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Braylon Ford was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
