Mountain Vista has gone 8-1 against Castle View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will look to defend their home pitch against the Sabercats at 7:30 p.m. Mountain Vista is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Mountain Vista is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Chaparral, who was ranked 24th at the time (Mountain Vista was ranked seventh). The Golden Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Wolverines a 2-0 shutout on Monday. Two seems to be a good number for Mountain Vista as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Hannah Carlson and Keira Woody scored both of Mountain Vista's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Castle View was not quite Regis Jesuit's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Castle View's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Mountain Vista pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Castle View, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-2-1.
