Softball Recap: Tulare Union Tribe vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tulare Union). They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Roosevelt Rough Riders on Saturday. With that victory, the Tribe brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Aliyah Cardenas made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. She also put up a stolen base, which was her first of the season.
