Basketball Game Preview: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. McDonald Blue Devils

Mineral Ridge is 1-9 against McDonald since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mineral Ridge Rams will welcome the McDonald Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m.

Mineral Ridge is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 58-47 to Jackson-Milton.

Mineral Ridge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaden Shaffer, who posted 20 points, and Chase Moore, who had 15 points. Those 20 points gave Shaffer a new career-high.

Meanwhile, McDonald didn't have too much trouble with Lowellville on Tuesday as they won 59-44.

Mineral Ridge now has a losing record at 5-6. As for McDonald, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Things could have been worse for Mineral Ridge, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-52 loss to McDonald when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Mineral Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
