While Thomas Jefferson's victory against Deep Run wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 31-28. Considering the Vikings' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Thomas Jefferson's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reginald Weston-Johnson, who rushed for 70 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

Weston-Johnson was just one part of a punishing run game: Thomas Jefferson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. The Vikings are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Thomas Jefferson's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as six different players picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Godwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Freeman.

Godwin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Thomas Jefferson, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3.
