             The Byers Bulldogs will venture away from home to  take on the Elbert Bulldogs  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Byers is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Colorado's top teams: Simla, who was ranked ninth  in their home state at the time (Byers was ranked sixth). Byers was the clear victor by  a  36-16 margin over Simla on Friday. The  victory was just business as usual for the Bulldogs, who after six games remain undefeated  this season.
 It was another big night for  Kaleb Willoughby, who rushed for 266 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in August of 2023.  Gabe Price was another key back, rushing for 76 yards and a touchdown.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Byers was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 361  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Elbert). They took their  game on the road  on Friday with ease, bagging  a  72-8 win over South Park. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  victory of the  season.
 Byers pushed their record up to 6-0 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Elbert, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
 Everything came up roses for Byers against Elbert when the teams last played  back in September of 2021, as the  team secured  a  52-20 win. In that  contest, Byers amassed a halftime lead of  32-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Saturday.
