Baseball Recap: East Takes a Loss

East and Mendon squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but East had to settle for second. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 12-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 26th.

East has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Mendon, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6.

East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mendon, they will challenge Eastridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 3, the Lancers 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
