Basketball Game Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Thompson Valley Eagles

Mountain View is on a four-game streak of home losses, Thompson Valley a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Mountain View Mountain Lions will welcome the Thompson Valley Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-10, which was the final score in Mountain View's tilt against Timnath on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Mountain Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Cubs are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, Thompson Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Greeley Central on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 47-42 win.

Thompson Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Mountain View took a serious blow against Thompson Valley in their previous matchup back in January, falling 57-13. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mountain View was down 36-2.
