Basketball Recap: Mifflin Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Tyrone (BJ) Woody and Myles Jarrett

Mifflin lost against Northland back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mifflin Punchers lost to the Northland Vikings at home by a 62-46 margin.

Despite the loss, Mifflin had strong showings from Myles Jarrett, who posted 17 points in addition to six assists and three steals, and Tyrone (BJ) Woody, who put up 13 points along with six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kesahn Bouttry, who had eight points and eight rebounds.

Nehemiah McMorris had an outrageously good game for Northland as he almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Diante James, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 12 points in addition to eight assists and five boards.

Mifflin now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Northland, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Mifflin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-43 victory against Independence on the 14th. As for Northland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-36 win against Whetstone on the 17th.
