Softball Recap: Hesperia Scorpions vs. Oak Hills Bulldogs
Hesperia had lost five straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 5-19-1 to make it six. They came up short against the Oak Hills Bulldogs, falling 20-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 back in April.
As for Oak Hills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.
For Oak Hills' part, CARSYN LEON looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. LEON has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, SIENNA GARCIA was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. MIA LOPEZ also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.
Hesperia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Hills, they will challenge Valley View at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
