Softball Game Preview: Valley Vikings vs. Burbank Titans

Valley is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Burbank a 15-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Valley Vikings will welcome the Burbank Titans at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Valley lost 24-3 to Armijo on Friday.

Meanwhile, Burbank came up short against Fairfield on Monday, falling 25-5. The matchup marked the Titans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Burbank saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ANDREA CERVANTES, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. CERVANTES is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Burbank's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything went Valley's way against Burbank in their previous matchup back in March of 2020, as Valley made off with a 21-9 win. Will Valley repeat their success, or does Burbank has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
