Basketball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem managed to keep up with Enterprise until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Salem Wildcats had to suffer through a 62-31 loss at the hands of the Enterprise Yellowjackets. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Salem lost, don't look at Kira Bridges. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 boards. Bridges has been hot for a while, having also posted four or more steals the last 11 times she's played.

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Enterprise, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Salem will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lumberton at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Enterprise, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-32 win against Jefferson County on the 20th.
