Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Dietrich

Dietrich extended their postseason success on Friday against Garden Valley. They walked away with a 65-57 win over the Garden Valley Wolverines. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Dietrich's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Perkins, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Perkins' afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Brody Torgerson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 11 boards.

Dietrich smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive games.

Dietrich's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Garden Valley, they moved to 19-9 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Dietrich nor Garden Valley have any future games scheduled.
