Baseball Recap: Boonville Takes a Loss

Boonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blair Oaks Falcons. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by just one run.

Boonville's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Blair Oaks, the victory (which was their ninth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Boonville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Fort Zumwalt East at 3:30 p.m. As for Blair Oaks, they have already played their next matchup, a 13-2 win against St. Francis Borgia on the 26th.
