Basketball Recap: Heartland Lutheran Comes Up Short

After flying high against Elba last Saturday, Heartland Lutheran came back down to earth. The Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets were dealt a 63-31 defeat at the hands of the Archangels Catholic Defenders on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Red Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Defenders are ranked 93rd).

Heartland Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Archangels Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Heartland Lutheran has already played their next game (against Red Cloud), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Archangels Catholic will take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
