Baseball Recap: Cortez Comes Up Short

Cortez lost against Cactus back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Colts came up short against the Cobras, falling 12-2. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cortez saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kriztian Visuet, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Cortez's record now sits at 3-11-1. As for Cactus, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-13 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cortez will take on Desert Sunrise at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Hawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Cactus, they will square off against Deer Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cobras' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Skyhawks have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
