The Flathead Braves/Bravettes are taking a road trip to face off against the Butte Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Flathead will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Flathead will head into Friday's matchup ready to turn things around: they couldn't quite beat Sentinel on Friday, but the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 29-point loss they were dealt two weeks ago. Flathead fell just short of Sentinel by a score of 25-23. One positive for the Braves/Bravettes, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Karson Pumnea was a one-man wrecking crew for Butte as he rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 43 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards Pumnea has posted since back in September of 2023.

Butte wouldn't let Big Sky keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Butte can thank Eli Smith and Garrett Henson for forcing both of them. Henson also set a new season high mark in total tackles with eight.

Flathead's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Butte, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Things could have been worse for Flathead, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 21-7 loss to Butte in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. Thankfully for Flathead, Bo Demarais (who threw for 155 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
