Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southern Boone). They enjoyed a cozy 62-44 victory over the Eldon Mustangs on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Despite the loss, Eldon saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kaydin Davis almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Southern Boone's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-10. As for Eldon, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-12.

Southern Boone has already played their next matchup, a 59-52 victory against Mexico on the 29th. As for Eldon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-50 win against Cuba on the 30th.
