Campbellsport and Kewaskum are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cougars will face off against the Indians at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Campbellsport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Campbellsport is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Lomira, who was ranked 13th at the time (Campbellsport was ranked tenth). The Cougars were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Lions on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Braden Bothe made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Bothe was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Riley Kohlmann was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jace Goebel, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles.
Campbellsport always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Kewaskum sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over Random Lake on Monday. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly two runs.
The team relied heavily on Sam Ciriacks, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Tyler Densow was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Campbellsport pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Kewaskum, their record is now 7-3.
Campbellsport beat Kewaskum 7-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
