Softball Recap: LEAP Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Camden on Wednesday, LEAP Academy came back down to earth. The Lancers came up short against Camden Academy Charter on Thursday, falling 18-7. The Lancers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Camden Academy Charter earlier this season, when they won 21-14.

C Murray made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was L Montanez, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

LEAP Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Camden Academy Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9.

Coincidentally, LEAP Academy and Camden Academy Charter will both be playing Mastery the next time they take the field. The Lancers will host the Warrior at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Camden Academy Charter will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
