Soccer Recap: Agricultural Science Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Kelvyn Park

Agricultural Science proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by four) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kelvyn Park Panthers, sneaking past 3-2. The win was all the more spectacular given Agricultural Science's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 239th, while Kelvyn Park are ranked 40th).

Jayden Valencia and Alejandro Duran scored all three of Agricultural Science's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Agricultural Science has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. Having lost for the first time this season, Kelvyn Park fell to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Agricultural Science will host Kenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kelvyn Park, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Northside at 4:30 p.m.
