Recap: Apollo Hawks vs. Buckeye Hawks
The Apollo Hawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 86-70 win over Buckeye. The victory was just what Apollo needed coming off of a 65-45 defeat in their prior match.
Elijah White continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with nine steals and seven assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. DeQuean Bryant was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with three steals.
Apollo's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Buckeye, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Apollo will be playing in front of their home fans against Willow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Willow Canyon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 18 games -- so hopefully Apollo likes a good challenge. As for Buckeye, they will head out on the road to face off against Youngker at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Youngker will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
