It was a good run, but Kingfisher unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 61-46 to the Blanchard Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 60-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Kingfisher's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Blanchard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Kingfisher and Blanchard should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Kingfisher (ranked 147th) will meet Cache (ranked 296th) at 8:00 p.m. on January 28th. Kingfisher will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Blanchard will challenge Noble at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday up 134 places (131 vs. 265).
