Soccer Game Preview: West Valley vs. Eisenhower

The West Valley Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Eisenhower Cadets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Valley's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, West Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Wenatchee and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, West Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Wenatchee are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, while the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Sunnyside who was credited with the victory on Friday. The Grizzlies got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Eisenhower's three.

West Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1.

West Valley suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Eisenhower in their previous meeting on April 4th. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Rams were down 3-0.
