Vance County found their leader in freshman Ke'Andre Cooper, who made all 8 shots he took racking up 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for Cooper. Quiheem Glover was another key player, putting up seven points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led South Granville over Vance County in every quarter on their way to victory. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Vikings blew the Vipers out of the water with a 76-49 final score.

South Granville found their leader in freshman Braeden Greenup, who shot 52% from the field on his way to 27 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was DJ Hicks, who posted 18 points.

Vance County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for South Granville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
