John Paul II waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 65-35 victory over the Holy Cross Knights. The Centurions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead John Paul II to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Garcia, who went 11 for 14 to rack up 30 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Garcia has scored at least a third of John Paul II's points. Grace Becker was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 15 boards.

Garcia wasn't the only one working in the assist department: John Paul II was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

John Paul II pushed their record up to 21-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points over those games. As for Holy Cross, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

John Paul II does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holy Cross, they will be playing at home against Geneva at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Geneva's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
