Baseball Recap: Abbott Falls Short of Oglesby in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Abbott can now relate to. They fell just short of the Oglesby Tigers by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 13-8.

Abbott's loss dropped their record down to 15-11-1. As for Oglesby, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Abbott does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oglesby, they will challenge Gordon on Saturday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Longhorns have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight contests.
