Volleyball Recap: Nixa Gets the Win

Nixa lost to Timberland back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 win over the T-Wolves. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Nixa was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14.

Baran Johnson paced Nixa's offense, picking up eight kills. Johnson got some help from Bryce Peebles and his 23 assists. Peebles was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

Nixa's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Timberland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Nixa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Grain Valley on the 11th. As for Timberland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Seckman on the 11th.
