Baseball Recap: Hilo Takes a Loss

Hilo was the 3-0 winner over Konawaena when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hilo Vikings fell just short of the Konawaena Wildcats by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The loss was the Vikings' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hilo fell to 2-1. As for Konawaena, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Hilo will square off against Kamehameha Hawai'i at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kamehameha Hawai'i knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Hilo likes a good challenge. As for Konawaena, they will head out on the road to face off against Waiakea at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
