Soccer Game Preview: Denver North vs. Fairview

The Denver North Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Fairview Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Denver North is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5 goals per game this season.

Denver North will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Montbello on Thursday. The Vikings blew past the Warriors 10-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Denver North's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Montbello are ranked 212th).

Denver North's offense was hitting Montbello from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Jasmine Lee led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Fairview hasn't lost a match since March 31st, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. They skirted past Ralston Valley 2-1.

Fairview's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Denver North, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-2.
