Basketball Recap: Minto Gets the Win

Minto had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Soldotna Stars on Thursday, sneaking past 55-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lakers have posted since January 3rd.

Jonathan David Jr. went supernova, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 21 points and six steals. Jeffery Frank III was another key player, going 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points.

Minto didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-48 victory against North Pole on the 19th. As for Soldotna, they have also already played their next game, a 47-35 win against Seward on the 19th.
