Basketball Recap: Minto Victorious

Minto had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Soldotna Stars, sneaking past 55-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lakers have posted since January 3rd.

Jonathan David Jr. was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted 21 points. Jeffery Frank III was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Looking ahead, Minto and North Pole will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Soldotna, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Seward at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
