Baseball Recap: Maud Comes Up Short

Maud lost against Bowie back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cardinals came up short against the Pirates, falling 16-5. Cardinals fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Pirates since on Tuesday.

Maud has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Bowie, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Maud will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Detroit at 6:00 p.m. on the 11th. As for Bowie, they will venture away from home to take on McLeod at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
