Football Recap: Hazel Park Starts Season with Victory Against Loyola + How To Watch

Hazel Park took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They managed a 28-22 victory over the Loyola Bull Dogs.

Montrell Parker was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 130 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Lathan Chambers, who gained 100 total yards and a touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazel Park is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Marysville at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Loyola, they will take on Nouvel Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
