Volleyball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mount Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the CHAAMP HomeSchool Hawks. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Hawks when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mount Vernon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-17.

Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for CHAAMP HomeSchool, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Coming up, Mount Vernon will face off against Pewitt at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for CHAAMP HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to square off against Hughes Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
