Volleyball Recap: Wood River Wolverines vs. Pocatello Thunder
Wood River lost against Pocatello back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wood River Wolverines took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pocatello Thunder. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
While Wood River had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 25-18, 25-21.
Pocatello was led to victory by Adrie Johnson and Jakobi Nebeker. Johnson had 17 digs, while Nebeker had 13 kills, six digs, and six aces. Nebeker is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in the last 27 games she's played.
Wood River's defeat dropped their record down to 22-12. As for Pocatello, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-8.
As of now, neither Wood River nor Pocatello have any future games scheduled.
