Baseball Recap: Inwood Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Inwood lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Monroe Campus, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Gators' pitchers stepped up to hand Monroe Campus a 6-0 shutout on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Inwood's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Monroe Campus, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
