Basketball Recap: Jeffrey St Onge's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Scotland Christian Academy over Triad Baptist Christian Academy

While it was all tied up 34-34 at halftime, Scotland Christian Academy was not quite Triad Baptist Christian Academy's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 74-62 to the Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans. That's two games in a row now that the Saints have lost by exactly 12 points.

Scotland Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeffrey St Onge, who posted 19 points and five rebounds. St Onge's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Frankie McIntyre, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards.

Scotland Christian Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scotland Christian Academy will face off against Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Scotland Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, they will take on Alamance Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Alamance Christian will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Triad Baptist Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
