Basketball Recap: Coral Shores Takes a Loss

Coral Shores and Killian squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Coral Shores had to settle for second. They took a 73-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Killian Cougars. The Hurricanes just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Killian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Torres led the charge by putting up 33 points and six rebounds. The contest was Torres' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Derico Taylor was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine boards.

Coral Shores' loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Killian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

As of now, neither Coral Shores nor Killian have any future games scheduled.
