Soccer Game Preview: Roaring Fork vs. Aspen

The Roaring Fork Rams will face off against the Aspen Skiers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roaring Fork is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Roaring Fork took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Coal Ridge get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Roaring Fork were the better team in the second half.

Riley Bevington and Erica Crownhart scored all three of Roaring Fork's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Aspen hasn't lost a match since April 2nd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Coal Ridge 1-0.

Aspen's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for Roaring Fork, their win bumped their record up to 5-3-3.

Roaring Fork beat Aspen 3-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Skiers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
