Basketball Recap: Seabreeze Sandcrabs vs. Calvary Christian Academy Lions
The Seabreeze Sandcrabs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 51-30 walloping at the hands of Calvary Christian Academy. Seabreeze has not had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Seabreeze still got an impressive performance from Sarahnoel Randolph, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. Randolph is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.
Seabreeze's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seabreeze and the Bulldogs will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. DeLand presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Sandcrabs in Florida (the Bulldogs are ranked 186th, while the Sandcrabs are ranked 503rd). As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Greyhounds at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st. KIPP Bold City is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
